Description

Since 2018, Howe Neat Inc, has been creating the next generation of web apps and smart IoT devices for agtech and industrial customers. The founder, Daniel Howe, has over 10 years of experience developing agtech IoT products. Howe Neat Inc., was recently selected as a winner in the 2020 Monterey Startup Challenge for its industrial and agtech IoT solutions.

Customer experience is a key part of our philosophy and focus. We forge relationships with our customers based on trust, and we aim to meet or exceed their expectations on a day-to-day basis. The solutions we develop are used by hundreds of customers, to monitor their operations using real-time data, analytics, alerts, and reports.

We are looking for a part-time/full-time web developer, that is proficient with common programming languages and frameworks. However, we need someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to learn something new.

An ideal candidate will use their understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and best practices to develop applications that are scalable and maintainable.

  • 3+ years developing web applications in a production environment

  • 2+ years working with HTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL, and Javascript, in Linux based server environment

  • 1+ years experience with AWS, and DigitalOcean

  • 1+ years experience with Dev-Ops, Docker, CI/CD, and web-hooks

  • Self-directed, dependable, and eager for new challenges

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing applications and develop scalable, efficient solutions, to deliver functionality according to requirements and specifications.

  • Develop and refine requirements and specifications for new applications together with managers, and customers.

  • Use and improve automated test cases to improve application reliability.

  • Use Git as part of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

  • Participate in standups to discuss project status and any potential roadblocks, or issues.

  • Attend sprint planning meetings, to discuss and determine tasks that need to be completed to meet deadlines.
